Community Service Reflection
The Community service project reflection that I decided to use in this tab was when we were in Costa Rica my sophomore year and we went up to the Bri-Bri tribe and did service there. The tribe as a whole was really neat because they were such a small tribe that was going extinct, it was interesting to live with them for a day and see the way that they live and function up in the Costa Rican mountains. The service that we did for them started with walking around the area that surrounded the old folks home and picked up trash that was laying on the ground. There was a significant amount of trash that we picked up while we were there, so it was a nice feeling because the area looked so much better after we were done with it, Next, we took powdered paint and added water to it and painted parts of their building for them to add a little bit of color and to liven up the place a little. In addition to this, we planted little trees all around the land surrounding the building. It was great to see what all that we had done to this place from when we started to when we finished and doing it while being in Costa Rica was an interesting experience to be a part of.
