The unit that sparked this project was for when we were currently studying Momentum. For this project, we were able to pick between building a Catapult or a Trebuchet, which is differentiated by tensional force or weight force that would throw a tennis ball a certain length. The goal was to see how far each group would get their tennis ball to go. My partners, Justin Ayala, Xan Bauer and I decided to make a Catapult. We got together to draw up the design of the Catapult and wanted to make it out of recycled wood that one of us already had laying around. If I remember correctly, the tennis ball went about 5 or 6 feet away which wasn't particularly impressive, but it was more about what ways we could get the Catapult to work efficiently.
